SKN TransWater Project Consultant & Stakeholders to Make Media Appearance

Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – Following the joint press conference of the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Energy, Utilities, and Domestic Transport and the Ministry of Information, Communication & Technology, and Post on June 5, 2025, at which the Hon. Konris Maynard and his Heads of Departments shared critical initiatives and progress updates, relief for residents facing water supply issues is in sight because of progress made on the SKN TransWater Project.

The SKN TransWater Project is a climate-resilient development project that will transform the delivery of water in St. Kitts and Nevis by: (i) strengthening the enabling environment for low carbon, climate resilient water supply; (ii) reducing non-revenue water; and (iii) mainstreaming low carbon, climate resilient water supply systems. 

On Monday, June 16, and Tuesday, June 17, the organizing Ministries held public consultations in St. Kitts and Nevis, respectively, to sensitize the public to the project and better understand their concerns in hopes of implementing a project that is fit for purpose.

On Wednesday, June 18, community-based consultations will begin and will continue over three consecutive days:

The general public will also be able to learn more about the project from the consultant, Dr. Adrian Cashman from CEAC Solutions Ltd, Auren Manners, Director of the Department of Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) in the Ministry of Sustainable Development, and Cromwell Williams, Water Manager and Engineer at the St. Kitts Water Services Department in the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Energy, Utilities, and Domestic Transport, on Freedom FM’s Issues on Wednesday, June 18 at 1:30 p.m.
